Sandy Panther Milestones

Redshirt senior Aliisa Vuorinen's appearance against UNC Wilmington on Saturday was the 100th of her Sandy Panther career (all in scoring appearances), becoming the third member of the current roster to reach that mark. Senior Ayla Johnson currently has 125 scoring appearances while senior Destiny White has 116.  Redshirt senior Aree Keller surpassed seventy appearances and now has 72 entering this weekend.  Sophomore Michaela Jefferson surpassed fifty appearances and now has 54 (53 scoring and 1 exhibition).  Redshirt junior Courtney Smith now has forty appearances (twenty-seven scoring and thirteen exhibition).  Junior Kaebre Sullivan's dual scoring-match appearance total has moved past her exhibition-match appearance total, as she has seventeen scoring appearances and thirteen exhibition appearances for thirty total.

March to 300 Wins- Beach Volleyball Edition

Heading into today's 4pm Sun Belt semifinal against Coastal Carolina, head Coach Beth Van Fleet has won 254 games at the helm of the Sandy Panthers. Countdown to 300: Forty-six wins away 

The Second "Where Are They Know" Post

In the first installment, which focused on basketball, I mentioned how Deasia Merrill spent the 2024-25 season with TCU as a grad student after 1,935 minutes in 100 games for the Panthers. Now, this installment focuses on beach volleyballer Cassie Thayse , who's a junior on the College of Charleston team. Thayse tallied eighteen appearances for the Sandy Panthers over two seasons- eleven scoring and seven exhibition.    

Sandy Panthers All-Conference

Sophomore Savannah Ebarb has gotten First Team recognition, making her a two-time First-Teamer in two seasons with Georgia State.  Sophomore Michaela Jefferson has gotten Second Team recognition, the first All-Conference honor of her Sandy Panther career.  Senior Ayla Johnson has gotten First Team recognition. She's a two-time Sun Belt First-Teamer and three-time All-Conference member in four seasons with Georgia State.  Redshirt senior Aree Keller has gotten First Team recognition. She is now a two-time Sun Belt First-Teamer in two seasons with Georgia State.  Freshman Danica Singleton , in her first season as a Sandy Panther, has earned Second-Team recognition.  Senior Destiny White has gotten First-Team recognition. She's now a two-time First-Teamer across four seasons with Georgia State.
